Jason Campbell will remain the Washington Redskins starting quarterback. Coach Jim Zorn said Tuesday on his ESPN980 radio show that he will stick with Campbell for Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Campbell was benched at halftime of Sunday's 14-6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Reed is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for allegedly scuffling with Pittsburgh police outside a bar near Heinz Field in the hours after Sunday's win over the Cleveland Browns.

Chargers game-day worker dies after fall (AP)

A member of the San Diego Chargers' game-day staff died 12 hours after falling out of the press box before the Denver Broncos played the San Diego Chargers on Monday night. Walt Daniels, 66, died at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sharp Memorial Hospital, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The New England Patriots have released receiver Joey Galloway and tight end Michael Matthews. Galloway signed with the Patriots as a free agent after 14 seasons. He played in three games and had seven receptions for 67 yards. Galloway was a first-round draft pick by the Seahawks in 1995. Matthews was acquired from the New York Giants in a September trade.

Royal became the first player in Broncos history to return a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns in the same game, leading undefeated Denver to a wild 34-23 win over the San Diego Chargers on Monday night. Antwan Odom had surgery for a torn Achilles' tendon on Monday, ending his season and leaving the Cincinnati Bengals with a big hole on their defensive line. Ravens DB Rolle's career likely over (AP)

Baltimore Ravens defensive back Samari Rolle almost certainly won't play this season, and it's likely his career is over because of a nagging neck injury. Giants LBs Boley, Kehl undergo surgery (AP)

The New York Giants are dealing with the loss of linebackers Michael Boley and Bryan Kehl, who both had surgery and will sit out this weekend against Oakland. Boley had arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair a partially torn meniscus in his right knee. Dr. Russell Warren expects Boley to be sidelined approximately four weeks.
