Tigers survive test and advance to sweet 16

In what had arguably been the game of the tournament thus far the Tigers outlasted Marquette 83-79 to advance to the sweet 16 on Thursday. After taking an 11 point lead into the half the Warriors mounted a feverish comeback and had a four-point lead with less than two minutes to play but could not hold on. Great pressure free throw shooting by the Tigers down the stretch (7 of last 9 points came from the line) proved to be the difference. Survive and Advance. Now the focus changes to the battle of the Tigers as they take on an angry Memphis team that believes they should have been a number one seed and feels they have a statement to make. The tale of the tape is listed below. Talk about the game in the NCAA West chat room or in the NCAA basketball blog.
